Refugio State Beach

On the coast about a half hour's drive north of Santa Barbara, California.

I've decided to make a small woodcut print from this sketch. Here it is transferred onto the block of wood, ready for me to start cutting.

You'll notice it's backwards. One has to cut the block in reverse because when you print it, it comes out backwards. So if you cut it backwards, then when you print it, it comes out forwards and all is well with the world.
