There were some great atmospheric things going on but I wasn't able to get them down. Partly because the light was changing rapidly, and partly because the piece of paper I was painting on was only about 5x7 inches.
I believe that if I can get closer to the rocks you can just barely see in the middle right of this sketch, it could make an excellent subject. This is not always that easy to do at an uncrowded beach. You can't pull up in back of someone who is already encamped there and start drawing. They might think it's an invasion of privacy. You have to get there when no one else is there and the light is good and have all your stuff ready.
